Xiaomi is a China-based electronics and software company. Xiaomi is a producer and traders of smartphones, laptops, mobile apps, and other consumer electronics. The Xiaomi has entered in the smartphones market in India, Spain, and Southeast Asia. They are planning to enter the market of the US very soon.
The smartphones market will experience the intense competition with the entrance of Xiaomi in the US market. The company already has a consumer base in the country as they sell a number of products such as a set-top box for TV, TV devices through Walmart. The devices such as headphones, battery pack, camera, and robot kit through Amazon.
Mr. Lei Jun chairman of Xiaomi said that since long back the company was planning to enter the US market. He was speaking in China’s annual legislative session in Beijing. He added that they have planned to enter in the US step by step until holidays of 2018.
Although the market is already full of vendors, few brands are able to manage themselves to get full attention. Many companies are trying to account a significant amount of share in the US smartphones market. Inspired by the success of another Chinese company ZTE, Xiaomi is trying to enter the US market.
Many companies are tried to enter the country but few were able to enter and successfully managed to start their business. The hurdle for Xiaomi is convincing and making a long contract with US government. Likewise, another Chinese tech company Huawei was successful in tie-up for their flagship product Mate 10 Pro, but end up with the breaking this tie-up due to security reasons.
Mr. Lei Jun said that expansion of the company to the US will take some time as their local laws and rules are so strict. Therefore, to learn these rules are followed all the procedures will take the time up to end of the year. He added that the company will be offering their flagship design phone Mi Mix 2 that have the excellent specifications.
